Beginning Experience Weekend …
is for adults grieving the loss of a marital relationship through death, divorce or separation, who are ready to come to terms with their loss and begin to move forward with their lives. The program helps deal with the natural grief process and offer an opportunity, through God, for turning the pain of loss into and experience of positive growth.
Who Should Attend
Those who come should be beyond the initial feelings of anger and despair which usually follow the loss of a loved one. They should be at the point of wanting a new beginning and ready to work to make that desire a reality.
The weekend begins at 7pm on Friday night and closes Sunday afternoon at 4:30pm. Due to the structure of the weekend, it is essential that you plan to be present for the entire weekend.
The program is presented by a team of people who have suffered the loss of a marital relationship themselves and are willing to share their own experience to help others. These trained facilitators lead participants through a program of presentations, personal private reflection, and small group sharing. A sense of community develops in an atmosphere of care and concern that is a hallmark of each Beginning Experience program.
The cost is $160 which includes the program, materials, lodging for two nights, five meals, and a follow up reunion event. Financial assistance, payment plans, and credit card payments are available. Advanced registration is required along with a non-refundable deposit of $30. These must be received with the application 2 weeks prior to the weekend. Financial arrangements can be made – no one is excluded due to financial difficulties.
